David and Marisa were married on the 12th of April, 2003. The ceremony took place at Newton Mearns Baptist Church, and the reception was at Sherbrooke Castle Hotel.
At 2pm all the guests had gathered at the church. A slightly nervous looking David was waiting, but thankfully the bride turned up. There were a couple of hymns, an exchange of vows, a brief word of instruction from the minister, and the couple went out to sign the register while we were treated to a piano and violin duet.
After the service there was a brief chance to take photos outside the church before the newlyweds were whisked off in an old fashioned car.
We found the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel, and there was another period of photo taking with as many combinations of friends and family as possible
It was then time for the dinner, and for the happy couple to cut the cake.
There were speeches by the father of the bride, the groom and then the two best men. Martin promised he would try and dance with every lady in the room, and he had a fair go at it later on.
The tables were cleared away and the room set up for the evening. This, of course, started with the first dance of Mr and Mrs Mahood, followed by an evening of music, with a short break for some food. There was also a bit of commotion when a certain Mr McCoist was spotted in the bar, but apart from this the day went well.
